Welcome to CMSI 4071

This course introduces the essential software engineering principles that guide the design, development, implementation, and management of modern software projects. Students explore software life cycle models and learn to move from problem description through specification and analysis using object-oriented and use-case methods. The course covers requirements specification, development planning, and the fundamentals of project management, alongside testing philosophies and the ethical concerns, conflicts, and resolution strategies that arise in real projects.

I am excited to have you in the course and look forward to a great semester!
